Heavenly Desserts. Well it’s in the name, and it sure does stand up to it. With their 11th branch open, the first, in London, it is evident that they’ve started off with a flight to the moon with the location. And a few more to come in London, prevailing upon us with ‘the ultimate luxury dessert experience’.
‘Whilst lavishing within’ their ‘exclusive surroundings’, the wide accumulated dessert range concludes to a rather much of a hard time deciding.
I had to try one of their signature creations (their waffles), which majority of other dessert places do. Of course I ended up choosing the Lotus Biscoff American Waffle, that stuff is addictive. And wow was I surprised, thinking it would be another over-hyped place, but obviously I had to give them a chance. The waffle itself was crisp on the outside and soft on the in, which many places don’t actually have, a crisp outsid, they’re oftern soggy and often the texture of pancakes. So that’s a tick off for me, moving on, the slight drizzle of Biscoff spread ensured that the waffle was not too sweet, topped with a hefty load of Biscoff crumbs which added to the texture pleasantly. - one of the best waffles yet!
The Belgian Chocolate & Raspberry Torte, was mind blowingly one of a kind. The rich chocolate complemented the sharp raspberry flavour cutting through the sweetness, balancing out the dessert. The raspberry sorbet was a whole other story, I could personally have a whole bowl. It had a distinctively blow your hat off raspberry, cool taste which accompanied the dessert nicely.
The Classic Mint Mojito was okay, but I’ve had better. The mint was very subtle, which could have done with a little balancing of the flavours. It wasn’t very fizzy and could have been presented better. However, it was worth the price.
Overall, Heavenly Desserts sure is heavenly, from the decor to the desserts, they are all tied together showcasing what a dessert could really be. Luxurious & delicious. The service was great, the staff were very attentive at welcoming & serving. We were asked if we would like a glass of water suggests the value for customers. However, the only downside was that the promotion they had for the first week of their launch did not work as there was a 1000 entry limit, despite me having the QR code for it which several others had the same problem which was unfortunate.
